Suffragettes - Labor Day '13 (LOC)

Well, it’s been quite a weekend. I’ve been ‘Labouring’ away at my website and….tada, after about a day of reading and clicking and activating, here I am.

Changed the name, signed up with GoDaddy for my domain name, borrowed two books from the Newmarket Libary and figured out that I had to redirect my domain’s ‘nameservers’ to the new location, Hostpapa, so Google and bots and other binary code dredgers could locate me. I was surprised that it didn’t take as long as I’d feared.  Finding a theme took the most time – so much choice. Like being in a chocolate shop, except without the intoxicating sweet dark scent.

Now I have to flesh out my website plan. What am I going to feature? Am I going to monetize this baby and start to see the cash – more likely nano-pennies –  start washing in? I know that if I want to podcast, I’m going to have to find a high quality microphone so I don’t come off sounding like a cartoon character. My focus will be on writing and literature and books and sharing my finds with my readers. So this is going to be a ‘work in progress’.

Now, no more excuses. I have to get back to my writing.
