It’s Thursday. Halloween. Where has the month of October gone? Here is another writing tip, and a great video to go with it.
Put the entire outline of the novel on one page. Whew. Mine is about 15 pages. A mini-bloody book. I’m looking forward to ‘breaking the back’ of my novel(s) and releasing them see the light of publication.
Break it into three parts (the Magic Number, since the days of the pyramids):
1. Act 1 – how does the story start?
2. Act 2 – what does the protagonist do to change the status quo?
3. Act 3 – what’s the big event that changes everything?
How do we tell the story – the point of view, the narrative device?
