Today is National Wear it Pink Day, a celebration of the quest to end all women’s cancers. I’ve lost two friends to this scourge and watched others battle for their lives. Their courage and their suffering are humbling to those of us who go about our days without a thought about radiation and chemo and not being able to do the ordinary things we want to do.
Just as we want to do well in our work, we should also strive to do whatever we can to stay healthy – exercise, good nutrition, joy, giving back. Remember, too, that regular checkups with your health care provider, breast self examinations, mammograms and eating fresh foods are important ways you can take care of your health.
