It’s been a slow, relaxing day. I’ve messed up my upper back again – doing too much stoop labour yanking out dandelions, then lugging half a dozen beams across the yard to build a raised garden bed. Stupid. I knew I shouldn’t, but it had to be done and my helpers were there so we did it. But now I’m paying. My step count is abysmal this weekend. I’ve eaten way too much summer BBQ food and downed too much good wine. So now it’s penance time.
I have to kick start the weight loss again by eating less and moving more too and stop kidding myself. One cookie becomes one cookie a couple of times a week. Not weighing the protein portions is a recipe for over-indulging. My Fitness Pal, here I come. Back to work, back to writing, back to basics on track to better health.
