You’ve heard the expression ‘there are lies, damned lies and statistics’. Data are being aggregated by everyone under the sun and used for purposes that are new, informative but sometimes nefarious.

Here’s an interesting fast-paced video filled with statistics. The concept is called ‘socialnomics’. According to the Socialnomics website, the initiative “was founded by Erik Qualman with the intent of providing short social stories, statistics, studies and surprises.  The term Socialnomics also has a double meaning in that as the success of this site grows, the more social good we hope to accomplish/give back.”

“Often called a Digital Dale Carnegie Erik Qualman is a #1 Best Selling Author and Motivational Keynote Speaker who has delivered presentations in 44 countries. His work has been featured on 60 Minutes to the Wall Street Journal and used by the National Guard to NASA. He is a current Guinness Book of World Records holder and his book Digital Leader propelled him to be voted the 2nd Most Likeable Author in the World behind Harry Potter’s J.K. Rowling. Qualman is a sitting professor at Harvard & MIT’s edX labs.”

#Socialnomics 2014 by Erik Qualman is the fifth version of the most watched video series on Social Media. Qualman is a #1 best selling author and keynote speaker on digital leadership. The video was produced by Equalman Studios. Source data for the statistics in the video is available in the book Socialnomics (sold on Amazon) socialnomics.com | @equalman.

“Qualman is to social media what Demming is to quality and Drucker to management.” – Scott Galloway, NYU Stern School of Business
